The Department of Environmental Sciences at JU (Jammu University) recently organized a three-day educational trip to the enchanting ‘Udhampur-Dudu-Basantgarh-Ramnagar Circuit’. The trip aimed to provide students with a unique opportunity to deepen their understanding of the regional natural heritage while integrating practical knowledge with informal environments.
The students embarked on an immersive journey, exploring the breathtaking landscapes, diverse ecosystems, and cultural significance of the circuit. Led by experienced faculty members, the trip fostered a hands-on learning experience, allowing students to witness and study the ecological dynamics and conservation practices in the region.
During the excursion, students actively participated in various educational activities, including field surveys, interactive sessions, and engaging discussions on environmental conservation. They gained insights into the local flora and fauna, biodiversity conservation strategies, and the interconnections between ecosystems and human communities.
The educational trip served as a platform to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world applications, enhancing students’ practical skills and nurturing their passion for environmental sciences.
