Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to engage with Vice-Chancellors (VCs), educators, and students at the upcoming UGC G20 University Connect event. Scheduled for September 26, 2023, in New Delhi, this event organized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) promises insightful interactions and discussions.

As part of the program, Prime Minister Modi will connect with VCs, principals, faculty members, and students from various universities and colleges at Bharat Mandapam. The event, officially commencing at 3 pm, calls for students and faculty coordinators to assemble at 2 pm for a smooth registration process. Please note that entry to the event will be granted only upon successful registration.

Highlighting India’s remarkable success in the G20 University Connect Programme, which was spearheaded by the Research and Information System for Developing Countries (RIS), the UGC issued a statement emphasizing that “key members of the G20 Team of India would brief on the C20 outcomes” during the event.

In a bid to ensure wide participation, the UGC has extended invitations to universities and colleges in the National Capital Region (NCR), urging them to nominate approximately 30 to 40 students and two faculty members each. Additionally, heads of institutions are warmly invited to join the program on September 26. For effective coordination, institutions are encouraged to nominate a faculty coordinator, whose details, including email address and mobile number, should be shared at dgoffice@ris.org.in, as specified by the UGC statement.
