Gorakhpur University is gearing up for its 42nd convocation ceremony, scheduled to take place on September 18th. With the date finalized in consultation with the Raj Bhavan, the university administration is leaving no stone unturned to ensure the event’s success. Just two and a half months ago, on June 28th, the university hosted its 41st convocation ceremony, although it did not include the participation of the Governor.
The Vice-Chancellor Holds a Meeting Following the information received about the date of the 42nd convocation ceremony from Governor Anandiben Patel’s office, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Poonam Tandon, along with the committee’s administrative officials, held a meeting at the administrative building in Lucknow. During the meeting, the VC discussed preparations for the convocation, including the creation of a list of gold medal recipients and the names of chief guests. The Vice-Chancellor also emphasized the importance of maintaining cleanliness throughout the university campus. The list of toppers will be released soon, along with the production of medals and certificates for the event.
No Use of Plastic During the meeting, the VC announced that Governor Anandiben Patel/Chancellor will preside over the convocation. The VC also collected information regarding the preparations from all committees formed for the event. It was decided that no plastic would be used during the convocation. The preparations for the event are progressing at a brisk pace, with all involved individuals working day and night to ensure its successful execution.
Logo Unveiling Tomorrow The Department of Fine Arts has been tasked with creating the convocation’s logo, which will be unveiled on Friday. The list of invited guests for the ceremony has also been finalized, and invitation letters are in the process of being prepared.
For those students awaiting the UG results, preparations are underway at the war level to announce the results. The degree will be unlocked online, and all preparations will be completed before September 18th. Everyone is working tirelessly day and night to give the finishing touches to the preparations.
