Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gorakhpur University to Host Seminar on Revolutionary Movement
Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gorakhpur University is set to host a two-day national seminar titled “Revolutionary Movement: The Missing Pages from History” on September 25-26, 2024. The seminar is being organized in collaboration with the Indian Council of Historical Research (ICHR) to commemorate the 108th anniversary of Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Ji.
Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. Poonam Tandon addressed a press conference announcing the event, emphasizing the importance of revisiting overlooked aspects of India’s revolutionary history. The seminar aims to shed light on the untold stories of India’s freedom movement, focusing on contributions that are often missing from mainstream historical narratives.
This event is organized by the Department of History at DDUGU, bringing together scholars and researchers to explore these forgotten pages of history.
