Banaras Hindu University (BHU) and Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) have officially sealed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to embark on a significant Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project. The collaboration aims to construct a state-of-the-art 200-bed rest house, named Vishram Sadan, within the premises of Sir Sunderlal Hospital at BHU.
As part of this commendable initiative, the Government of India’s Public Sector Enterprise, PGCIL, is set to allocate a generous sum of Rs. 17.88 crore for the construction of Vishram Sadan. This facility is designed to accommodate family members of patients seeking treatment at BHU, particularly enhancing the support infrastructure for healthcare.
The Sir Sunderlal Hospital, a crucial medical hub for the region, attracts patients from various states owing to its comprehensive health facilities. The Vishram Sadan project, expected to be completed by March 2026, reinforces the commitment of both BHU and PGCIL to community welfare and healthcare advancement.
