Banaras Hindu University Hosts 104th Convocation, Awards Over 14,000 Degrees

Banaras Hindu University (BHU) celebrated its 104th convocation, conferring over 14,000 degrees to its graduating students. The event, held at Swatantrata Bhawan, saw the presence of Chief Guest Sh. Jay Chaudhry, CEO & Chairman of Zscaler, and Vice-Chancellor Prof. Sudhir Kumar Jain, who presented medals to meritorious students.

During his convocation address, Mr. Chaudhry encouraged graduates to focus on making a positive impact, rather than chasing financial success. He urged them to develop a passion for their chosen field, embrace a lifelong love for learning, and approach life with a positive attitude. Highlighting the importance of diligence, honesty, and hard work, he reminded students that graduation marks a fresh start, with each individual responsible for choosing their own path to success.

In his address, Prof. Jain reflected on the university’s significant progress, emphasizing its commitment to nurturing talent, deploying resources, and fostering a culture of governance. He advised students to uphold values and gratitude throughout their personal and professional lives. “Values and ethics will be your greatest companions in growth,” said Prof. Jain, urging graduates to express gratitude not only to their teachers and families but also to society, and to use this gratitude as motivation to give back to the community.
