Central University of Kashmir (CUK) is a public university located in Ganderbal district of Jammu and Kashmir, India. It was established in March 2009 through an Act of Parliament, “The Central Universities Act, 2009” by the Government of India. The university offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in a variety of disciplines, including arts, science, engineering, law, and management. CUK has a strong focus on research and has been ranked among the top 100 universities in India by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF). The university is also home to a number of research centers and institutes, including the Centre for Advanced Studies in Kashmir Studies, the Centre for Nanotechnology, and the Centre for Environmental Studies.
