Dr. Rajendra Prasad Central Agricultural University Organizes Training on Remote Sensing in Agriculture

The College of Agricultural Engineering, Dr. Rajendra Prasad Central Agricultural University, recently organized a two-day training program focused on the use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Remote Sensing in Agriculture. The program was inaugurated by Vice Chancellor Dr. PS Pandey, who emphasized on the important role of remote sensing in water management for agricultural purposes. The objective of the training is to equip agricultural scientists and engineers with the latest technologies to benefit farmers and enhance convenience in the field.

During the event, Dr. VM Chowdhary, Director, NRSE ISRO, while addressing the participants online, highlighted the future benefits of remote sensing in agriculture, especially in land and water management. This training, organized on the request of Vice Chancellor Dr. Pandey, is expected to play a vital role in meeting the future agricultural challenges and implement new and modern technologies.

Dr. Ambareesh Kumar, Dean, College of Agricultural Engineering, provided an overview of the training session, while Dr. SK Jain proposed the vote of thanks.
